This is a picture of a rear paw print of a Grizzly Bear (proper name is Alaskan Brown Bear), which was sent to me by Craig Stratton in Alaska.
The size of the rear paw of the average full-grown male Grizzly is 15 inches from heel to toe (not counting claws) . The average weight of a Grizzly with a 15-inch paw is around 900 pounds. If you calculate using a 24-inch paw, then the bear that made this print is at least 1500 pounds and is a possible world record or at least very close to it.
